Meet Julie Vance

“What made you interested in a career in recruiting?”

I started my career working in public and private accounting.  I enjoyed it but felt something was missing.  I wanted to find a job I was passionate about where I could use all aspects of my personality, but still utilize my accounting background.  I found the perfect match in recruiting finance and accounting professionals.  I love sharing my accounting knowledge while using my drive to succeed to help people accomplish amazing things in their career.  I feel fortunate to have found the perfect career that literally changed my life, and one that I still love doing 15 years later.

“What makes you different from other recruiters”

I really care about the people with whom I work.  I listen to what they want, guide them to make sure that their expectations are reasonable, and ultimately, help them find that right job or candidate.  I believe in the long-term value of a relationship.  I am always willing to lend an ear or advice no matter the personal outcome. 

“What do you think is the most valuable thing you can do for your candidate or client?”

The most valuable thing that I can offer both clients and candidates is time.  For clients, really taking the time to understand their wants and needs, then surpassing their expectations with talented and motivated individuals.  For candidates, taking the time to listen to their concerns, understand their career goals, provide appropriate job opportunities, and guide them through the steps of landing their dream job.

“What do you like to do in your spare time?”

There is nothing I love more than spending time with my two middle-school aged children.  I have spent countless hours watching baseball and basketball games.  When I’m not busy with sports, I enjoy cooking, playing board games with the kids and spending time on the beach.
